Adventerous Chics
July 18th, 2006 by pcganSo yeah, I went to Hong Kong with my girl friend. I know this entry is looong over due but heck, better late than never. Scoot if you don’t want to read.
bare naked airport
When we arrived, the airport was as empty as my wallet AFTER the Hong Kong trip.
The place where we were staying… urrghhh… imagine Batu Caves… we had to climb that flight of stairs every single day… and that is TWO trips a day. It was a blessing in disguise… looking at the amount of food we stuff in every day. Hehe…
our outdoor gym… check out the stairway to heaven!!! I am surprised that I survived!!
FOOD!!!! Geese!!!! HEAVEN!!!!
Day 1: Nearly got blown away. We experienced the oh-so-powerful-typhoon that nearly blew poor little me away… We were scared shitless but when we took covers, we looked at each other and BURST out laughing… Yeah, we are that loony… which makes us so fun
Buildings were every where… we were soo lost in the concrete jungle. And well, it is not that we are THAT fluent in cantonese. We pronounced a couple of chinese words wrongly and well, lets just say we didn’t get to go to where we intended to. Instead of ladies street, we ended up on men’s street; Lan Kwai Fong instead of Causeway Bay.
Buildings every where…!!
We fully utilised our finger in Hong Kong. Why? Well, we can’t read chinese and the menus EVERYWHERE are in chinese. So what we did was we pointed and said this, this, this and this… oh, and this!
Ohhh…. and THESE are rare sights!!
People are queuing up just to get into LV!!! MADNESS!!! It was not even on sale!!!
The HSBC headquarters. Apparently, this building can be dismantled… sounds like a LEGO set.
Malaysian cuisine?? Errr… no, we did not try
There were some kind of protests going on… that is not a rare sight… they closed the whole damn road for them to protest is a RARE SIGHT!!
Lion dance on stilts… THAT is rare! I wonder how they can stand the whole damn day…
It was hell of a trip!!! We, I mean, I never had that much fun and laughter… It was tiring but it was all well worth it… even if it meant losing my legs from the walking and the climbing!
We came back with an extra luggage, a pair of tired legs and an empty wallet… can’t wait to get my bank statement end of this month… *SIGHHHH*
Shopaholics taking a break.
Vacation anyone???
